Suzannah Crowder's Insight & Gratitude

As I read the tributes to Maya, Nick, and Frankie, I remembered how terribly difficult it was to sit and watch my own little boy suffer and fight for his life, dying from a congenital heart defect at birth. Yes, my sweet Bryan made it and is living a wonderful life, about to turn five years old. But I remember how hard it was, how alone I felt, and those depressing feelings of hopelessness that seemed to creep up and spoil my dreams for my little boy.

I say this as a tribute to you, Frank, and thank you for caring for children. I ask that you keep working tirelessly for these little angels who need us so much. As a thank you to the hard work of yourself, Tim, and Jamie, I renew my own promise to continue to fight for the rights of children and their safety. I will continue to research a way to end family violence, in honor Maya and Nick.

As one who is frequently called upon to speak for children in need, I thank you.

Hugs,
Suzannah Crowder
